Elders’ Doctrine

Our Elders joyfully and unequivocally affirm these documents:

• Bethlehem Elder Affirmation of Faith (2003)
• Danvers Statement on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood (1987)
• Nashville Statement on Gender and Sexuality (2017)

We believe that these above-listed documents, together, accurately depict the gospel of Jesus Christ, its doctrines, and its implications. We gladly stand in the Reformed Baptist tradition.

The Bethlehem Elder Affirmation of Faith traces its roots back to the Second London Baptist Confession (1689).

Members Beliefs

Our Members will be expected to affirm the essentials of the historic Christian faith, as expressed in our Member Affirmation of Faith.

Full agreement with the Elders on secondary and tertiary doctrines is not be a prerequisite for Membership. We want to give some latitude for Members to hold to various convictions related to theology and lifestyle. However, Members are expected to enthusiastically and prayerfully consider the teachings and exhortations of the Elders, which shall always be in accordance with the collection of statements that we affirm.
